Almost everyone wants to be famous but not everyone has a reason to. Sharing your love for music
and your talent for writing while being recognized is something to be famous for. Barry has been
working hard to share his music with the world.

To keep busy after moving to Toronto from Vancouver; Barry began to play the piano. In his
journey to become the next Beethoven Barry also took interest in playing the violin. He stumbled
upon his soulful voice at the age of 13 when he received a solo in the school's choir and since
then he hasn't stopped singing. He then fell in love with the sound of contemporary pop and R&B
and soon began to write his own songs. He later took up guitar, adding it to the already growing
list of instruments he can play. In the fall of 2000, 17 year-old Barry landed a spot on national
televsion on the popular Canadian talent search, Today's Talent Time (Canada's version of Star
Search) winning 2nd place in the finals and slowly began a fanbase.

In his quest to be known as a successful vocalist, Barry teamed with Ottawa producers K-Rim and
Trey. With their hypnotizing beats and Barry's unstoppable voice ‘Ain't no Lover' was created.
Barry has come to be recognized for being one of the few Asians in the Toronto urban industry. He
doesn't fear his competition because once his powerful voice is heard for its original sound,
everything else is forgotten.
