Kaila Yu is a Taiwanese Amercian model and pop singer, who was born on May 16, 1979 in Taipei, Taiwan (China). Born Li Ping Yu in Taiwan, when Kaila Yu was three years old, she moved with her family to California. She gained popularity through modeling in import car shows. Kaila has been featured in several magazines including Import Tuner, Playboy, and FHM. She began college at UCSD and later transferred to UCLA to be in Los Angeles in order to pursue modeling and singing. Kaila has also been featured in Jack Pearl's Asian Pick up couch as Nina, where she performs sexual acts. She released her first album in 2003. She is also known as Elaine Yang and has a younger brother named Eric Yang. In 2007 Kaila teamed up with Kit E. Kat to form the group Nylon Pink. Their signature song Hello Drama is also the name for the jewelry line that the two own. Their act is inspired in part by anime and Harajuku fashion.
